Overview


The outbreak of the Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) in South Korea has highlighted the ongoing need for Ontario’s health system to be prepared to rapidly identify and manage patients suspected of having MERS-CoV.


The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (ministry) and Public Health Ontario (PHO) are holding this webinar for health workers and health sector employers in primary care settings, hospitals and paramedic services to review current guidance on the management of acute respiratory infections (ARI).


The webinar will provide updates on the status of the outbreak in South Korea, as well as guidance on screening and other control measures for the prevention and control of ARI.
